Denzel Rae Don Curry nació en Carol City, Florida, el 16 de febrero de 1995. Es descendiente de las Bahamas y los nativos americanos. Su primer deseo en la vida era convertirse en un artista. Comenzó a rapear en sexto grado de primaria. Frecuentemente desafiaba a otros niños a batallas de rap con fines recreativos en un club local llamado "Boys & Girls", y asistió a la Escuela Secundaria de Diseño y Arquitectura de Miami durante sus primeros dos años de escuela secundaria. Cuando fue expulsado, asistió a "Carol City High School" mientras trabajaba en "Nostalgic 64" al mismo tiempo.

A lo largo de 2011-2012, publicó varias mixtapes amateur en SoundCloud y DatPiff como "King Remembered Underground Tape" en 2011 y "Strictly For my RVIDXRZ" en 2012, llamando la atención de "Earl Sweatshirt".

No mucho después Denzel se unió al colectivo "Raider Klan" formado por el grupo "SpaceGhostPurrp". Al poco tiempo, Denzel y el grupo comenzaron a discutir y tener desacuerdos creativos, por lo que Curry decidió comenzar una carrera por su cuenta sin ayuda de nadie. Mas adelante, Denzel lanzó un Diss Track hacia "SpaceGhostPurrp" en 2016 con la colaboración de "XXXTENTACION" titulada "PURRPOSELY".

Su primer álbum de larga duración, "Nostalgic 64", fue lanzado en septiembre de 2013, y más tarde fue seguido por un EP de dos discos, en junio de 2015 titulado "32 Zel / Planet Shrooms". Luego lanzo su segundo álbum de estudio, "Imperial", lanzado en febrero de 2016. Luego se lanzo un EP, llamado "13" el cual serviría como puente para el ultimo, y tercer disco de estudio de Denzel, Titulado "TABOO" el cual fue lanzado el 27 de julio del 2018.
